once i got some fresh gas and ran a few fuel treatments she has been running good. Once my David or my Dad gets back in town i am going to rebuild the carb and do the points and condenser. So i hope that the car will be a-ok till them.

Thank you to everyone that showed up today. We had a total of 21 vehicles. Woo Hoo.

Unfortunately...this is the last show and shine to be held at Double Dave's. We were told today that they are closing at the end of the month.

We will also have to come up with a new location for the Night Show.

Our next meeting will be an important one...so please come out and join us.

Again...please don't think this is the last show and shine...it is not. It will just be in a new place. Updates will be done as decisions are made.

Thanks to Double Dave's for everything they have done for us. They will be missed.

The back parking lot does hold about 40 cars. Not until about 2:00 did we have anyone park back there with us. And, yes...do bring shade.

The people are very nice...food is good...and I think we are going to try it again next month. We will try to have a sign up front next time.

I don't know why no one showed up today. The e-z up did help shade us and there was a good breeze. Thank you, Mike and April for driving all the way from Bellville to come out today. Little Alex was a trooper too. Also, they got the free entry for the Night Show...just 2 left.
Thank you Stephanie, Mike, Diane, Rick, & Joe W.(even if y'all didn't have VWs to drive). And to Jack, for coming in his GTI.R...that car was sweet. At least we had 2 air and 2 waters(Mark and I were in the 85 Vanagon) this time.

Maybe in August we will have more people show up. But, with it still being hot next month...we will just have to see.

Sorry guys. April and I won't be able to make it today.
I finally got Harlie fixed (I think and hope) at about midnight... April's concerned about drive poor Harlie all the way to Houston, so we aren't. Have fun!!

tammy and i will be sponsoring club participation raffles at the next show and shine, sunday september 12th, which will be the last one before the night show.

for each club that brings atleast 5 vdubs to the show and shine, there will be a raffle between that club's members (members that bring their vw to the show and shine) for a free entry into the night show.

that is a raffle drawing for each club that brings atleast 5 cars, not just one single raffle for everyone that comes.
