Hey all,

just thought id say hey... i am down southwest in Rosenberg (work in sugar land). i currently own a '76 Westy with 2.0L FI. ive owned many VWs (10+bugs, 3-4 busses, and a ghia) but this is my first Westy and first type4 engine. and i dig it! good power and relatively easy to work on. it has become my daily driver recently too, gotta love that...

here she is: http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?t=285432&highlight=crusty

i love working on VWs, if anyone is down around my way, im happy to help out, hang out, have a beer or whatever and fix stuff =). i own a welder and plenty of tools. :horn:

i will probably be at the next show&shine, and will definitely be at the classic! =) leaving late friday after work unfortunately not sooner =P see you all there! :yo:

thanks all for the warm welcome =)

nomercyambulance- i remember seeing your square at the classic last year! anyone remember that black hoodride bug that had bags or whatever, and he would cruise around the lot and randomly drop the front end so it would scrape like nuts on the ground? lol. im gettin antsy waiting for the 17th to roll around... i also remember some folks in a hippy'd out bus that had a telescope and were giving people free views of saturn- very cool. also a surfed out green adventurewagon with custom cabinetry, awesome.

izzit the 17th yet?:roll:

The "hippy'd" out bus is Denis Dodson from Arkansas. He will be there again. His buses name is Murray. Very interesting person to sit and talk with.

didnt get ahold of those guys after all; i emailed but got no reply. woulda been tricky for us anyway, i wouldnt want to slow anyone down, and with kids coming along, you never know when a rest stop is necessary...

anyway, just thought i would share a couple of pics from the classic- did anyone see me? =D i saw lots of lime green shirts, never did get a chance to say hello tho. (in fact, is that a nomercyambulance behind my bus in the first pic?)

me, my baby, and my other baby;
