Alright here is the deal. I bought this bug about 4 months ago. Im starting a business and i need a bigger vehicle. A small truck, car, anything could be a choice just depending on what it is, so just throw me what you have and we will go from there. I bought the bug for $3000 and it did not look like the way it does now. Ive put in a little over a $1000 on it so i would like to get some of my money back or just trade for another vehicle. Its been my daily since the day i bought it. These things will never break down as long as you change the oil. It is REALLY easy to work on and mess with. Ive pulled the engine out by myself in 30 minutes the same weekend i bought it. It runs and drives great. It could either be someones new toy or a cool daily. Anywhere you go, you will always get your thumbs up, waves, and smiles from people on the road. :)
Looking to get $4000 obo, OR Trade for another vehicle.
Anyway, here are the things that have been done to it and been replaced on it.
1600 Dual Port engine.
New Transmission
New Plugs and Wires
New Tie Rods, Ball Joints, Front shocks.
New Brakes all around, including brake lines.
New Tires all around. 2 of them under warranty by discount tire.
New EMPI 8 Spoke wheels powder coated white.
Phat Boy muffler with J pipes.
New Fuel Pump.
New Driver side cylinder head.
New Carburator.
New Cap and rotor with new points.
New tail lights and headlights.
4" narrowed beam with adjusters.
Bamboo shelf.
New headliner.
Low back seats. Front and back.
Thats about all i can think of. I have all the other regular maintanence work receipts that i received from the previous owner also.
Only thing the bug could use is a new steering box and an alingment. Steering box is $100 and very easy to install. Needs new headlight rings, and those are like $15 for both. Oh and the horn doesnt work. Other than that, everything is good.
