I don't know how many of you here are hot rodders or purists, but either way, its a great topic to discuss and i found a fantastic video..

I agree, with it. Hot rodding isn't something you can go out and buy off the shelf, its something that is done by yourself through work, sweat, and tears. It something unique to you...

Cool vid.

With respect to today, hot rodding is mostly being done under the same basic economic plan those guys worked from. It just happens that cheap, available, easy to work on applies to Honda, Golf, Mustangs/Camaros and trucks instead of old Detroit iron.

They also have A/C and some of the creature comforts that comfort creatures require. And, if done right, are way more safe and reliable and, on top of that, can run an Xbox and a couple monitors.

Besides, I'd rather see them tear up the Hondas than early iron... Saw too many dumb high school kids destroy nice cars. 3 GTO's, a Cougar, a Mustang, a nice Pontiac LeMans, a 68 Chevy p/u and a 65 Belair bit it just from my high school years.

It is good to see a resurgence of the ratrods and not so ratty rods that aren't $100K easter egg colored (that was funny) dream cars, trucks, and all the other random vehicles that are emerging from the post musclecar apocolypse.

Let's save 'em as best we can.
