I was told at the Show and Shine that there would be a work day on Sunday at Mark's up in Tomball? I was hoping to get a little more information on that.
Where exactly? When exactly? Anything I should bring (other than my tools, parts, etc)?

Bummer, found out I will not be getting my car till Monday. And my friend who it taking me there it heading in Friday night, so I will have to take a rain check and shoot for the next time. :tsk:

Correction......2 hours (non-rushhour) or about 120 miles to the East near Beaumont.


I had a friend from Austin say the same thing, "2 hours from Houston means nothing. Houston is 2 hours from Houston."

from what i saw, it was supposed to be mid 70s and no rain. i will hope for that.

we were thinking about bringing about 5 pounds of fajitas. that is if mark and emily dont mind us using the kitchen to cut the meat up after cooking and storing the tortillas, sour cream and cheese. if anyone wants to bring sides and such. sounds like it might be a good turn out, so hamburgers and tammys world famous marinated fajitas might be just the ticket.

Everything went great. The rain finally passed about 1 pm. Thanks to Danny & Tammy for the fajitas. Total count was Eric, Rhino, Jesa, Danny, Tammy, Mark J., Emily and myself. Not too shabby of a turnout.

Thanks so much everyone! It was nice getting to know you all a little better. I am super grateful for getting some help getting my ride up to snuff, eating some excellent fajitas (I'm going to try your marinade soon!) and all in all it was a pretty great way to spend a somewhat rainy day.

I think the most awesome thing (my husband may not agree) is the extra motivation to finally take care of all the things I have been putting off in regards to my car (the sad leaky top).
